Hummingbirds of Central Texas
Presented by Shelia Hargis
Make your yard a hotspot for hummingbirds this season! This talk will introduce you to hummingbirds, and show you how to identify the common “hummers” in our area. Find out how to attract these beautiful birds to your garden and where you can see them during migration!
About the Presenter: Shelia has been birding for 17 years. She teaches the beginning birding classes for Travis Audubon, surveys birds for the City of Austin and the USGS Breeding Bird Survey as well as private landowners, regularly leads birding field trips, and is Past President of Travis Audubon. She is currently on the Travis Audubon Habitat Conservation Committee, the Travis Audubon Education Committee, and the Texas Ornithological Society Board of Directors.
