Why Birds Matter:  5 Actions for Bird Conservation

Presented by Jeff Mundy

In the last installment of our birdwatching series, we’ll explore what the future holds for birds and what their fate means to us.  Why do birds matter, and why must migratory birds be protected? Discover the simple things you can do to protect these beautiful creatures for our future generations to enjoy.

About the Presenter: Jeff Mundy is a board certified trial lawyer specializing in personal injury and commercial litigation in Austin, Texas, with over twenty-five years of experience.  He also uses his skills to support environmental litigation in his home state of Texas, most recently successfully seeking enforcement of the Endangered Species Act to protect Whooping Cranes in Texas. Jeff is a graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS).  He also has served as president of the Houston Audubon Society, as well as the boards of directors of the Houston Audubon Society, Travis Audubon Society, and Texas Audubon Society. The Houston Audubon Society named a bird sanctuary, Mundy Marsh, on the Texas coast in honor of Jeff for his years of conservation work in Texas. Most recently, Jeff was invited to join the board of directors for the World Land Trust-US to help with their efforts to save rain forests globally.
