Library News for May 20, 2011

The library will be closed on May 30 in observance of Memorial Day.
We will also close on June 8-9 for inventory and parking lot repair.

Wine, Women & Words Book Club: Monday, May 23 at 7pm
Join the most established reading group at the library.  This month they are reading Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

  • Crochet Club Starting in June- Every Sunday at 1pm.  (ages 12+)
  • Class:  Sunday, June 12 at 1pm

    All you need is a willingness to try; the library will provide the rest.  We'll have hooks, yarn, and an instructor.

 Summer Reading Starts in June!

Adult Summer Reading Club

June 11—August 13

Pick up a reading log starting June 11. Keep track of the books you read, and when you've read 3, bring the log back for a prize! Keep reading to win even more prizes!

Summer Events:

June 10, 4-5:30pm: Pre-Registration Kickoff

Learn about dinosaurs and get an up-close look at  real dinosaur bones and fossils! This is the first day to pick up reading logs and start tracking your reading hours!

Kids Summer Reading Club

June 11th - August 13th


    * Pick up a reading log starting June 11th, and start tracking how many hours you spend reading.
    * Earn prizes at 10, 25, 50, and 100 hour levels. The top readers get grand prizes!
    * Ages 0-10 may participate (11-18 participate in the Teen Summer Reading Club)

    * Pick up a reading log starting June 11th. All logs must be returned by August 13th.
    * Read and rate three books on each log
    * Earn prizes for each completed log
    * Grand prizes go to the tweens or teens who read the most books over the summer.
