Library News for November 30, 2012

CapitalAreaFoodBankHoliday Giving and Fines Reduction: 

Throughout December, the library will be accepting donations for the Capital Area Food Bank.  For every item you donate, we will reduce your library overdue fine by $1 for up to 1/2 of your total overdue debt.  

Fines for damaged or lost items cannot be reduced.

What should I donate?
    * Healthy, non-perishable food
    * Items with intact, un-opened, packaging
    * Items with non-breakable packaging (no glass, please)
    * Food within the expiration date on the packaging

Holiday Ornament Making
Sunday, December 9th
2 sessions: 1:30pm & 4pm

Families and friends get together for an afternoon of creating one-of-a-kind ornaments.  Fun for all ages.  Space is limited.

Join us for crafts, cookies, cocoa and a bedtime reading of The Polar Express.  Parents, bring your cameras- Santa will be here!

After-School Programs for kids ages 5+

Wednesdays at 4:30pm

  • 1st Wednesday - Brain Games - Fun and challenging board and video games.
  • 2nd Wednesday - Comic Club - Explore new comics, learn to draw, and do crafts.
  • 3rd Wednesday - Wacky Science - Hands-on, messy science experiments.
  • 4th Wednesday - LEGO Club - Free play with LEGOS and LEGO guides.

Have you tried our Mango Languages Database? This service is FREE to all Wells Branch Library patrons and teaches you, step-by-step, and of over 30 languages.
